Ms Maria Melnikova

Ms Maria Melnikova is a Business development professional and start-up enthusiast committed to promoting and developing Oulu entrepreneurship ecosystem. Muscovite by origin, she’s been living in Oulu, Finland for almost a decade. Has two master’s degrees: from the Lomonosov Moscow State University in regional economics & geography and from the University of Oulu in International Business Management. With working experience in the fields of mining and power industry, entrepreneurship and management from Russia, she is currently engaged into boosting international relations and business development at BusinessOulu.

Ms Irina Solonova

Ms Irina Solonova has 15 years of experience in investment and financial sphere and 7 years of experience in the internationalization business. She has been participating in various educational projects since 2011 while running Russian activities for the Future Learning Finland project (a special project initiated by the Finnish Trade Organization Finpro which aim was to support Finnish SME and bigger EDU organizations in their internationalization effirts).

In 2014 Ms Solonova founded the company Ruspro Education (an internationalization consulting company for Educational organizations) which works with Russian Educational organizations/service providers and foreign companies entering Russian market. Ms Solonova is also an initiator and director of the project "Educational Marathon: Finland, Russia and Kazakhstan for 2018-2019" which includes numerous B2B networking events/business missions including annual "Finnish-Russian Educational Forum in Moscow". Currently she is also working on the thesis for the MBA course "International Business Management" in University of Lapland (Finland).
