edu InnoFest – An open education innovation event

Edu InnoFest is an open innovation event that focuses on developing services and products for global education market in just about 6 hours. 

Create educational products in small teams 

At edu InnoFest you work in a small team to ideate and create entirely new educational products and services. The teams’ tasks are to combine their different skills in various fields and move from idea to real hands-on solutions. 

Each team will get help from real business and creativity professionals who will coach and inspire them throughout the day. They will also get feedback on their idea from other teams and a jury of industry experts. 

At the end of the day teams will pitch their ideas to the jury and the best ideas will be awarded. 

Learn by doing, meet new people and have fun 

Edu InnoFest is a great chance to co-create in a team with versatile skills in a truly innovative environment. You will be learning by doing, and at the same time will have fun and meet new people! You will also gain a better understanding on global education market and can participate in developing solutions that enhance how people learn globally. 

If you already have a product or service idea, this is the perfect opportunity to finalise your solution and test its business potential before launching it to the global market. 

Bring an idea or come with a creative attitude

To participate in edu InnoFest you can either bring a novel idea that you want to develop further or come with just an open mind and creative attitude. You can join the event individually or as a small team.   

You can also bring your own laptop. Other equipment (pens, paper, post-it notes etc.) will be provided. 

Coffee, tea, lunch and beverages will be on us and served on the premises during the day.

Edu InnoFest is held on 12 November 2019 at 8.30-15 at Diaconia University of Applied Sciences (Albertinkatu 16 b, Oulu). 

The event is free of charge. Join the event by signing up. 

The language of the event is Finnish and English.
